Lifelong and Broad Questions

Broad life questions are sincere, but they are usually too wide for one Wen Wang Gua cast.
“How will my whole life go?” contains wealth, career, relationships, health, family, children, parents, residence, reputation, and timing. One chart cannot responsibly turn all of that into one answer without making the line roles contradict each other.
The method’s answer to this is not dismissal. It is decomposition. Help the person find the concrete question inside the broad worry.
The same line can mean support in one domain and harm in another. Reading all domains at once becomes incoherent.
Find the specific life area that matters now and cast for that question.
How to split
Ask about money, livelihood, assets, support, or a specific financial horizon.
Ask about position, recognition, office, vocation, or a specific opportunity.
Ask about a specific person, bond, match, marriage, or relationship stage.
Ask about a specific condition, treatment, recovery window, or person.
Ask about parents, children, siblings, household, or a concrete family matter.
If the ask is personality, destiny pattern, or natal structure, Wen Wang Gua may not be the right instrument.
Narrow lifelong exceptions
Some classical chapters do handle lifelong-scope questions, but they are narrow. Lifelong wealth is not the same as “everything in my life.” Lifelong rank is not the same as “my entire destiny.”
Read the self, wealth, and source-of-wealth structure as a specialized model.
Read official rank, support, and obstruction as a specific career-life model.
Do not use narrow lifelong models as a back door into one-chart total life reading.
The narrow exception stays narrow. Lifelong wealth can examine the material pattern through self, wealth, and source-of-wealth structure. Lifelong rank can examine public achievement through career-rank routing. Neither one authorizes a single chart to answer spouse, parents, children, health, wealth, rank, residence, and lifespan all at once.

The redirect
Useful wording:
“That is a real question, but it is too broad for one Wen Wang Gua cast. The responsible way to answer it is to split it. What is the most pressing part right now: wealth, career, relationship, health, family, or something else?”
The redirect is not a refusal. It keeps the person in the conversation and finds the castable question underneath the broad one. Refusal belongs to insincere, repetitive, delegated, or otherwise improper casting situations. A broad sincere question usually needs splitting, not dismissal.
Traps
This forces contradictory line meanings into one reading.
The better response is to help the person find the focused question inside the broad one.
Lifelong wealth and lifelong rank are specialized domains, not total-life synthesis.
