Wen Wang Gua can produce concrete predictions. That does not mean the reading should be delivered as fate.

The point is not to trap the querent inside an outcome. The point is to show the pattern clearly enough that they can act, prepare, avoid harm, or choose timing well.

This is not softening the reading. It is the purpose of the method: the chart should help someone move toward better conditions and away from avoidable harm. A precise prediction that leaves no room for action has failed at the human level.

Fatalistic "This will happen."

Sounds decisive, but removes agency and hides confidence, conditions, and timing.

use
Practical "The chart points here, under these conditions."

Names the judgment, mechanism, timing, confidence, and useful action.

What to include

Judgment What direction?

Favorable, mixed, unfavorable, or uncertain.

Mechanism Why?

The target, obstacle, support, block, or release that makes the judgment intelligible.

Timing When to watch?

The date, window, or checkpoint that matters.

Confidence How firm?

High, medium, or low confidence should be audible in the wording.

Agency What can be done?

Delay, prepare, avoid, ask again later, gather documents, choose timing, or decline an action.

A practical delivery rule

Every serious reading should contain three parts: what is favorable, what is unfavorable, and when action is better or worse. If any one of those parts is missing, the answer can sound more certain than the chart actually is.

The rule is not decorative. A reading with only unfavorable factors becomes doom. A reading with only favorable factors becomes complacency. A reading without timing gives the person no place to act. The complete shape is: what helps, what harms, what timing changes the balance, and what the person can do with that information.

Wording examples

Instead of "You will fail."

"The chart is unfavorable for this attempt as framed. The obstacle is stronger than the target."

Instead of "It is destined."

"The current configuration points that way unless the blocking condition changes."

Instead of "Nothing can be done."

"The useful move is to wait for the release window or change the plan before acting."

Instead of "Definitely."

"This is high confidence because the target, timing, and mechanism all agree."

High-stakes exception

Agency-respecting wording is the baseline, not the whole policy. Health, lifespan, legal, safety, pregnancy, violence, and severe financial questions need the stricter wording in the next two modules. In those domains, even a mechanically clear reading should be phrased as chart conditions, risk, timing, and qualified support, not as a guaranteed outcome.
