Capstone: A Complete Practice Record

The capstone has two valid paths. Choose exactly one:

1. a self-owned, low-consequence prospective practice record on which no decision depends; or
2. a complete refusal record with no cast.

The outcome is not part of this task. On the prospective path it remains pending, is not required later, and cannot change the assessment.

Eligibility screen

The prospective path is unavailable for any question involving:

• current weather or transport;
• safety, crisis, death, or lifespan;
• medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional judgment;
• a deadline, approval, application, contract, payment, purchase, investment, employment, or livelihood outcome;
• a relationship outcome or another person’s private state;
• any choice for which the reader plans to use the result.

If any item applies, use the refusal path. Do not search for a harmless-sounding rephrase that preserves the consequential output.

Path A — prospective process record

Use a privately controlled, harmless observation exercise. Define the observation point in advance, but do not reveal or record the outcome during the capstone.

1 Prove eligibility

State why the exercise is self-owned, low consequence, private, and irrelevant to any decision.

2 Freeze the question

Write one subject and one observation point. Record that no recast will follow.

3 Construct the chart

Record the date, primary and changed charts, moving lines, palace, line assignments, calendar fields, and sources.

4 Select and assess

Record the target rationale, qualitative states, relevant interactions, dropped factors, and any unresolved conflict.

5 Bound judgment and timing

Record the cited rule or named UAYA convention, abstention if required, evidence-quality label, candidate windows or no-window result, and every limitation.

6 Protect and freeze

Complete the privacy card, date the record, leave outcome `pending`, and preserve the pre-outcome version unchanged.

An abstention or no-window result is valid. Do not manufacture a final direction merely to make the record look complete.

Path B — complete refusal record

Choose a prompt that clearly fails the screen, or use the invented compound prompt below:

“When will the document arrive, and will an unrelated application be approved?”

This path is complete when the refusal is specific, calm, and does not append a chart interpretation.

Assessment record

Intake	The chosen path follows the eligibility screen.
Construction	Required fields are reproducible, or correctly absent on the refusal path.
Evidence	Source text, chart fact, reader-facing calculation, lineage rule, UAYA workflow, and external fact are not blended.
Interpretation	Every retained claim has a declared rule and scope; unresolved material produces abstention or stop.
Language	No event promise, probability, decision, or externally owned conclusion is added.
Privacy	Consent/self-ownership, identifier minimization, retention/deletion, and publication permission are recorded.
Outcome	Prospective result remains pending; refusal path has no outcome field.

No result can repair a missing source, broken calculation, unsafe question, privacy failure, or overwritten pre-outcome record.

Stop condition

Stop and switch to the refusal path the moment the question becomes consequential, externally governed, third-party-private, or decision-bearing. If you cannot preserve the source and privacy boundaries, submit no case.

Scope note: both capstone paths, the assessment table, and the pending-outcome rule are explicit UAYA teaching design. Chart mechanics and states remain governed by their source lessons. No new received rule is introduced here.
