Multiple Moving Lines

When several lines are active, list them all before deciding which ones enter the target analysis.
The number of moving lines does not decide the outcome. “Crowded,” “unstable,” or “chaotic” may be later lineage descriptions, but they cannot replace line-by-line evidence.
Relevance filter
For each overt moving line, and each Dark Moving line already accepted under a declared rule, ask in order:
- Is this the selected target?
- Does it generate, control, combine with, clash with, harm, or punish the target under a rule already taught?
- Does it materially affect the selected support, obstacle, or support-blocker?
- Is World, Response, or an interval position relevant to the exact question?
- Does its own transformed pair change one of those relationships?
If every answer is no, record the line as background. Do not invent a narrative for it.

The strict/working Dark Moving distinction must arrive from the earlier calendar and strength lessons. This page does not silently choose between them.

The source chart has two overt moving lines, 2 and 5. It selects Child / Yin Wood at line 2 for the main clear/cloudy task and later discusses the Officer / Xu Earth line at line 5 as part of its same-day account.
For source reproduction, retain both because the source itself assigns both a role in the narrow weather reading. Keep the layers separate:

This does not establish a universal rule that every moving Officer line is relevant to weather, nor does it authorize a present-day forecast.
Neutral four-line exercise
Example type: invented learner exercise; no outcome.
Assume a chart has four overt moving lines:
- line 2 is the target;
- line 3 generates the target;
- line 5 has no recorded relation to target, support, obstacle, World, or Response;
- line 6 controls the selected support.
The relevance table keeps lines 2, 3, and 6. It marks line 5 background. If the line-6 control relation is disputed or depends on an unresolved target candidate, mark the whole ranking low confidence and stop before net judgment.
Traps and stopping conditions
- Do not choose the line with the most dramatic transformation.
- Do not call three or more moving lines proof of instability.
- Do not treat background as a license to invent a subplot.
- Do not include a static day-clashed line as Dark Moving without recording which rule made it eligible.
- Stop when target selection, Dark Moving provenance, or a key relationship is unresolved.
