Shock means success. Shock comes, alarm and alarm: fear brings blessing. Laughter and talk follow: afterward there is a rule. Shock startles for a hundred li: it startles the distant and frightens the near. The ritual spoon and libation are not lost: going forth, one can guard the ancestral temple and the altars of soil and grain, and thus serve as the sacrificer.
