Some Plum Blossom streams allow a hexagram to arise from direct intuition rather than from an external count.

This is the easiest part of the course to misuse.

The older version of this lesson treated โ€œchannelingโ€ as a main technique. This revised course handles it more carefully. Intuition can be part of Plum Blossom practice, but it should not become permission to bypass method, inflate authority, or make unverifiable claims.

The Useful Core

The useful core is simple:

  • Become still.
  • Hold the question lightly.
  • Notice the first clear image, number, line pattern, direction, sound memory, or bodily sense.
  • Record it before interpreting.
  • Convert it with a stated rule.

The goal is not to enter a dramatic altered state. The goal is to let a cue appear without forcing it.

Safer Practice Forms

A Disciplined Intuitive Exercise

  1. Sit quietly for two minutes.
  2. Write the question in one sentence.
  3. Ask for one number between 1 and 999.
  4. Write the first number that appears.
  5. Ask for a second number.
  6. Calculate the hexagram using the direct numerical method.
  7. Interpret normally.
  8. Record whether the reading later proved useful.

This keeps intuition inside a reproducible container.

Where It Belongs in the Course

For beginners, this is not the main method. Learn external events, direct numbers, calendar time, and tactile counts first. Those methods train structure.

Intuition becomes useful after structure is stable. Without structure, it easily becomes personal projection.

Ethical Boundary

Never use an intuitive Plum Blossom reading to override another personโ€™s agency, medical care, legal judgment, financial responsibility, or immediate safety needs.

The method can describe a moment-image. It cannot carry the authority of professional diagnosis, legal advice, or investment instruction.
